Today I dismantled the home directory I have maintained on the Otago University servers for over ten years. It received its heaviest use from 1994 until 2000 while I was a student. It started out on an DECStation 3100 running Ultrix, went through a phase being used from an Alpha running OSF/1 and eventually a succession of Linux boxen. Looking at the detritus in the home directory reminded me of many things.
Software I once used extensively:
Sawfish | Sawmill | mc |
fvwm | mwm | xv |
pine | netscape |
Words from the ispell personal dictionary that sort of sum up some of the things I did over those years.
