I have split out a separate gnome-games-extra-data package. I have left a minimal number of themes in the main package (the default plus one more theme for each themable game). The result is that the main gnome-games package is three megabytes lighter. Of course there is also an additional three megabyte download if you want all the themes, but it should be updated far less frequently. There will be a tarball release with the next gnome-games release, in the meantime you can get it from the CVS module gnome-games-extra-data.
One other consequence is that I can avoid having to turn down quality theme contributions because of lack of space.
Oh yeah, I’ve also included Richard Hoelscher’s “Paris” SVG card theme. It is inspired by the same deck as David Bellot’s SVG card theme, but Richard has taken a different approach to the material. It is also a lot lighter compared to David’s ultra-detailed, more authentic, design. Richard’s design is in the main package (because it is the smaller file), David’s is in the extra-data package
